Queer Eye – Review

Queer Eye stars five gentlemen, Antoni, Karamo, Jonathan, Tan, and Bobby. The show is about these five guys who provide a full makeover for a diverse group of people. Most of the episodes are based on one person, but there is one episode that focuses on a group of guys at a fire department. I love the dynamic from the Fab Five because they all have different personalities and they all have a specialty. One does the hair, while the others work on food/cooking, cleaning and fixing up their home/apartment, clothing, and more to have a complete lifestyle and appearance makeover.

I enjoy how the five guys help out all walks of life, despite their beliefs and backgrounds. Political, religion, race, gender, all of it doesn’t matter, but there are points where these beliefs are touched on in some of the episodes, but it’s not overwhelming. I thought talking about such sensitive subjects in this show wouldn’t work, but I thought the discussions were quick, concise, and touching.

Overall, I loved the show. The audience gets to experience a wide range of personalities and different makeovers that are fun to watch. I think Queer Eye is good for the family to watch together and maybe learn something new. Each episode runs about 45 minutes in length, but time will fly by while you watch each episode.

Final score: 9/10
